게리는 미주리 대학교에서 학사 학위를, UCLA와 미국 영화 연구소에서 석사 과정을 마친 연극 훈련을 받은 미국 배우입니다. 1978년부터 미국 배우 조합 회원으로 로스앤젤레스와 뉴욕에서 50년간 활동해 왔습니다.
현재 타이베이에 거주하며, 《세카루: 포르모사 1867》, 《대만 특급열차》, 《드림 레이더》, 《아일랜드 네이션》 1 & 2, 《원더 우먼》, 《보르네오의 세 눈물》 등 다수의 아시아 TV 작품에 주요 배역으로 출연했습니다. 대만 영화 《스캠스기빙》, 《아내와 여행을》, 《더블 해피니스》 및 개봉 예정인 《고스트 베인》에도 출연했습니다.
